About the Art
Photographic prints are on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper; the 8x10's - 8x12's arrive matted to 16 x 20" in a museum quality 100% cotton, white mat with an acid-free backing ready to place in any standard U.S. 16 x 20" frame. Larger photographic prints are shipped rolled in a tube. Mixed media works are archival ink on 100% cotton paper mounted on canvas, which is textured and matte varnished; the sides of the canvas are painted black so these require no frame. Artwork should be hung where it does not receive direct sunlight. With proper care, your artwork should provide a lifetime of enjoyment. [Scroll down to see recent Testimonials!]

**** CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS ****

Although I've been doing this professionally for over 10 years, I have pretty much sold my work thru brick-and-mortar exhibits and my website (at studiolejeune.com) was used as a brochure to help arrange the exhibits and share updates about my work. In early 2009, I was inspired by aperture.org and others to reach out more online and here are a few quotes from people who have purchased my work online since then:

"[They are] beautifully matted and even more delightful than computer image suggests! We framed both the prints with some matte gold-leaf frames I found online and they look fantastic." -- Jay van Wagenen, PA

"Interesting and well executed chess artwork!" -- Jon Crumiller, NJ

"Love the edgy Art; service was top notch." -- Leslie Manas, PA

Return / Exchange Policy
Every item is packaged with care but if an item is damaged during shipment to you, it is insured. Simply notifiy me immediately and save all the packaging (post office requires this) for a replacement or refund, see below.

For mixed media on canvas work and matted photographic work up to 8x12", the full purchase price minus shipping costs will be refunded for items returned to me in resaleable condition if you postmark it within 3 days of the delivery confirmation date. Items returned to me that arrive damaged in the mail cannot be fully refunded so please insure return packages for your protection and save your insurance receipt. Credit will take 7-10 days to appear on your card after receipt of item.

Larger photographic work and custom work is special ordered, so a partial refund is made for these prints due to the cost of printing. (The refund for large work is the purchase price minus shipping costs and a 10% printing fee.) Because most prints are available in the 8x10" - 8x12" size, you are encouraged to purchase the smaller works first and trade up to the larger work.

Exchange Small Artwork for Larger Artwork
You may return smaller photographic work in good condition to have your original purchase price credited towards the purchase of available larger work. You must contact me before shipping your piece for this offer. Shipping costs are not included as part of your credit.

Edition Size/ How many prints are made of an image?
Photographic editions
Edition sizes vary and are noted on the sales page. Limiting the number of prints produced can enhance the future value of your print. An edition size does not include other uses of an image such as note cards, posters or magazine publications, nor does it include artists proofs or work prints. [Work prints are draft prints made of an image and not sold but used for my portfolio or other presentations.]

When I began offering prints, I only sold large size prints in very small editions. I changed the way my editions were structured after living in a place that didn't have the wall space to display my large work and also wanting my artwork to reach more people. For my more recent work, smaller prints are offered in addition to large works so that the work is available to more people. The smaller works are similar to the larger work but they are separate editions with slight differences in the images that make them distinct from each other. You can trade in the smaller works you have purchased which are still in good condition as a credit against available larger works: email for more details.

In some cases the type of edition (open or limited) has not been established yet because the print is newer and in this case artist proof prints are offered on the sale page instead. These prints are signed and A/P is noted on the print; at most 5 A/P prints will be offered before establishing the edition type.

In the past, the prices for my work typically increase as the edition sells out.

Mixed media editions
The prints mounted on canvas are considered unique because each is hand-finished by the artist.

More About the Artist and Artwork:

I believe the development of digital work as a fine art medium is exciting and exploring various types of digital media continues to be very meaningful to me. The present day is an exciting time in art history, similar to when photography was new with lots of potential but was not yet well understood as a fine art medium. Although I work with several types of digital media, I favor the use of 3-d software to create my artwork. The process is time-intensive and is like a combination of sculpting and photography.

My imagery is whimsical and unconventional, playful and serious. Chess references appear frequently in my work and although I'm not a chess player, I'm inspired by the metaphorical quality of the game. Other themes that recur in my work are context, cultural effects, humor and paradox.

Additional facts about me are: a) a palmist once told me I have a creative gift sign in my palm; it is a star of 3 intersecting lines in my palm right below my third finger and b) the first cash award I received for my artwork was in fourth grade when I won $20 in a parish-wide poster contest.
